What we did...
When approched by Poppy and Quintin, MG Designs were more than ready to take on the feat that was the Buderim renovation Project.

Although the couple didn't want to do anything drastic like tearing the whole house down there were still many considerations that needed to be taken into account when working on the brick home, with a steep block, up in the hinterlands of Buderim.

Supporting the structure of the main walls with supports while new floor plans were being laid out, re-configuration of services to wet areas and electrical mapping, as well as replacement of the entire roof and ceilings all had to be done by experienced professionals with great planning.

Capturing the vast views out over Coolumn and the ocean was an important factor in design for this home, large glazed doors and winows to the north of the home were crucial for maximising the use of the sun for heating, breezes for cooling and also just creating a great view.

Poppy and Quintin are self emplyed with their own business Fox & Hound, they operate their business online at home via their new large home office space downstairs, given that they will be spending so much time in the house, they really wanted a calm, warm and unique aesthetic scheme.

Taking inspiration from nature and some european style, we created a earthern-rustic, industrial scheme.

Thanks, MG Designs.

A good start for builds or renovations when create a concept scheme is to find either a piece of furniture, finish, material, a statement item that is your starting point and take inspiration from it.
